  2. Get 1 cup jagarry
  3. Take 1 cup fresh coconut grated

  8. Get 1 sp sesame seeds

Yeriappa or sweet appam is a sumptuous South Indian recipe which can be prepared quickly, without putting in much efforts. Yeriappa is a traditional deep fried sweet made on Saraswati Pooja day which is today. I am not a big fan of deep fried stuff and hence made it in appam or paddu pan. Yeriappa is a part of festival sweet at my Nani's house; she use to prepare this on rakhsa bandan day.

Instructions to make Yeriappa:

  1. Wash and soak rice overnight or 4,5hours, next day grind with jagarry, coconut,sesame seeds,banana,poha(soak before grinding)
  2. Add cardmom powder, poppy seeds,salt and mix it(consistency should be thicker than dosa batter) well cover keep it aside for 30min.
  3. Heat oil in kadai keep flame medium to sim and pour a paddle of batter into the oil let it come upwards then flip it fry other side.
  4. Repeat the process till batter finishes. Yeriappa is ready to serve.
