The ingredients needed to make Falafal:

  1. Take Pita bread
  2. Make ready 2 cup maida
  3. Make ready 2 TSP oil
  4. Make ready 1 small spoon yeast
  5. Take 1 TSP sugar
  6. Make ready 1 TSP salt
  7. Take 1/2 cup warm water
  8. Get For falafal (tikki)
  9. Get 1 cup chick pea (keep it in water for whole night)
  10. Prepare 1 medium chopped onion
  11. Get 1 TSP green chilli and ginger paste
  12. Make ready 1/2 cup chopped coriander and mint
  13. Prepare 2 slice bread
  14. Take 1 TSP jeera powder
  15. Make ready 1 TSP sesame seeds
  16. Make ready to taste Salt
  17. Take 1 TSP lemon juice
  18. Prepare as needed Oil for fry
  19. Get For hummus
  20. Make ready 1/4 cup chick pea (keep it in water for whole night)
  21. Make ready 4 Garlic clove
  22. Prepare 1 TSP sesame seed
  23. Prepare 2 TSP oil
  24. Prepare 1 TSP jeera Powder
  25. Prepare 1 TSP lemon juice
  26. Prepare to taste Salt
  27. Prepare 1 TSP oil for garnishing
  28. Prepare 1/2 TSP peri peri powder
  29. Prepare 4-5 black olives
  30. Prepare For salad
  31. Take 2 Chopped onion and cabbage
  32. Make ready As needed black olives

Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Hi Kate, I am anxious to try these as I have always made my falafal with canned chickpeas. I guess I don't see the difference if you are soaking the chickpeas anyway and softening them. See great recipes for Falafal, Pudina Falafal too!

Instructions to make Falafal:

  1. For pita bread - Add yeast to warm water and give rest for 10 min or till yeast get activated. In large bowl take maida. Add sugar. Salt and yeast water and knead the dough. Cover and give rest for 1-2 hr. When dough is double the size. Knead for more 5 min. And keep a side
  2. Take a ball size dough and roll it in to thick roti. In pre heat oven. Bake it on 250* for 7 min. Cut it in half and your pita bread is ready
  3. For falafal - Add all the ingredients in mixing bowl and grind it in to thick paste. Make small balls and keep a side. Heat the oil and fry prepared ball till crispy outside layer. And keep a side.
  4. For hummas- take all the ingredients in to mixing bowl and grind it. In to smooth paste. Garnish with. Oil and peri peri and black olive
  5. Take one part pita bread and fill it with hummus. Salad and falafal. And enjoy Your Indian style labanese falafal

I never eat falafal but this looks very tasty. will definitely try to make this wonderful recipe. There are many variations of the falafel recipe. The one I'm sharing is one I learned from my Lebanese parents and enjoyed while growing up.
